Defending champions defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets to register their third win in the ongoing 14th edition of Vivo Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday. Mumbai chased down a target of 172 runs with 7 wickets and 9 balls to spare.
Mumbai won the toss and invited Rajasthan to bat first. Rajasthan got off to a good start with openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal adding 66 runs for the first wicket from 7.4 overs. Buttler made 41 before getting stumped by Quinton de Kock off Rahul Chahar. Yashasvi made 32 while skipper Sanju Samson played well for his 42 runs off 27 balls with 5 fours.

Mumbai in reply lost skipper Rohit Sharma for 14 and Surya Kumar Yadav for 16 while de Kock kept on scoring from the other end. de Kock put on a 63 run stand with Krunal Pandya for third wicket. Krunal scored 39 runs from 26 balls which included 2 fours and 2 sixes. Kieron Pollard remained unbeaten on 16 runs.
