The close camp for Women’s Asia Cup commencing from November 26 in Thailand has been started in TU ground from thursday onwards. Although late, a team of Women cricketers participating in Asia Qualifiers and alternative players have been called for the close camp. On the second day, when Letzcricket reached the honorary TU ground, captain Rubina Chhetri was seen practicing on the nets. When we asked her about the preparations she smiled and said “We all have potential, we will definitely work hard and try to surprise the big test nations.”
Women’s Asia Cup to played in round-robin T20 format will feature India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and hosts Thailand where Nepal will meet Pakistan in its first match. The tournament will end on 4th of December.
