Despite losing KL Rahul towards the end of the day’s play, India are on top at the end of day one of Nagpur Test. India are 11-1 and trailing Srilanka by 194 runs as Srilanka was restricted dfor 205 in their first innings.
Indian spinning duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja shared 7 wickets among them while Ishant Sharma bagged 3 wickets to restrict Srilankan batting lineup. Ashwin finished with the figures of 4-67 while Ishant gave away 37 runs for 3 wickets and Jadeja gave 56 runs for 3 wickets. Skipper Dinesh Chandimal was the top scorer for Srilanka with 57 runs while opener Karunaratne scored 51 runs.
The first test match at Kolkata was a thriller which ended in a draw.
