The former captain of Indian cricket Sourav Ganguly had received a death threat through a letter. The letter was sent to Ganguly by an unknown source. In the letter of threat it was mentioned that “to not attend the program of Vidyasagar University in Medinipur”. On the 7th of January, Sourav recieved the threat letter and had informed the police about it for the program that he was going to attend. The joint venture of District Sports Association and the Cricket Association of Bengal President had not ruled out Sourav Ganguly to attend the Vidyasagar University on 19th of January, 2017.
