USA defeated Nepal by 5 wickets in a practice match for the upcoming WCL match against UAE. Nepal will now play a practice match against Kenya on December 3 before facing UAE on 6th and 8th of December.
USA invited Nepal to bat first after winning the toss. Nepal was allout for 89 runs from 36.1 overs. Nepali batting didn’t look good in the absence of key players like Paras Khadka and Gyanendra Malla. Sharad Veswakarled the side but coulnot score a single run for his side. Basant Regmi was the top scorer for Nepal with 21 runs to his name. Opener Dilip Nath scored 36 balls 16 while Dipendra Singh Airee scored 12 runs from 24 balls.
Chasing a target of 90 runs, USA lost their first wicket for when the scoreboard read 21 runs. OpenerSyed Abdullah scored 40 balls 44 with 3 fours and 3 sixes whileRoy Silva remained notout on 28 ball 25 with 3 sixes. Sompal Kami and Sagar Pun were amongst the wickets for Nepal.
