Australian right handed top order batsman Adam Voges has announced retirement from international cricket. Voges ends with an international batting average of 61.87 from 31 innings. Bradman’s career average of 99.94 from 52 Tests is the best of all time.
The 37-year old made his debut only in 2015 and started his career with a bang. His average was 95.50 in his first 15 tests. But a poor series against Srilanka reduced that avarege.
“This will be it for me,” Voges said. “I’m certainly looking forward to getting out there and playing this game. I’ve had an amazing couple of years with Australia with the Test team and I’ve loved every minute of it. I see this as a last opportunity to play against an international team and I’m certainly looking forward to that.”
Between February 2007 and November 2013, he played 38 limited-overs games, scoring 870 ODI runs at 45.78 and 139 T20I runs at 46.33.
