The third and the series decider match at Hyderabad between India and Australia has been called off due to wet outfield.The playwas called off at approximately 8.30 pm as the series ended with a 1-1 scoreline.
After the second inspection at 19:45, the umpires decided to calloff the match which left both captains, Virat Kohli and David Warner, frustrated.Hyderabad has been receiving heavy rainfallfor more than a week now and the Met office hadpredicted rain for today as well.
India won the first T20 by nine wickets in Ranchi while the visitors clinched the second game by eight wickets in Guwahati. Jason Behrendorff was the star of the match in the Guwahati stadium at Barsapara. Hyderabad, which is the home of former IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, had it’s first-ever T20I ruined by a wet outfield.India dominated Australia in the preceding ODI series, winning it 4-1.
