Indian bowlers yet again showed impressive performance as India beat Australia by 9 wickets in a rain interrupted match at Ranchi on Saturday to take 1-0 lead in the T20 series.
India won the toss atJSCA International Stadium and elected to field first. Kuldeep Yadav (2-16) and Jasprit Bumrah (2-17) bowled well as Australia were restricted to 118/8 when rain interrupted the match. Aaron Finch looked good for his 30 ball 42 including 4 fours and a six. None other Australian batsmen could contribute to the total as Indian bowlers ran through the Australian batting order.
India were then set to chase a revised target of 48 in 6 overs via DLS method.India chased down the target in 5.3 overs losing one wicket and took 1-0 lead in the series.
India now have registered seven consecutive wins against Australia in the shortest format of the game. India had outplayed Australia 4-1 in the ODI series and now are competing against each other in3 match T20 series.
