Nepal march into the finals of the ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament after beating Malaysia comprehensively by 10 wickets in the semi finals. Nepal will now face HongKong in the finals on Sunday.
Nepal won the toss against Malaysia and elected to bowl first. Malaysia was restricted to 121 runs in 42 overs. Skipper Dipendra Singh Airee completed yet another 5 wicket haul in the tournament while Pawan Sarraf chipped in with 2 wickets.
Nepal in reply chased down the target of 122 runs without losing any wickets. Both Nepali openers Sandeep Sunar and Asif Sheikh completed their half centuries. Sandeep was unbeaten on 51 while Asif Sheikh remained unbeaten on 50 runs.
The final between Nepal and HongKong will be held on Sunday on 7:45 AM Nepali time.
