Singapore Emerging Stars march into the finals of the ongoing Singapore Club Cricket T20 Tournament as they beat Madras Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the semifinal. Stars will face the winner of second semi final between Singhalese Sports Club and Sydney Cricket Ground today.
Stars won the toss and invited Madras to bat first. Madras put on 185 runs in the first innings. Opener Swapnil scored 53 while Basudev Das contributed 42 runs for Madras. Anantha Krishna bagged 2 wickets for Stars while Paras Khadka and Pramod Raja shared a wicket each.
In reply, Singapore Emerging Stars reached the target of 186 runs losing 4 wickets. Nepali national team captain Paras Khadka scored 36 runs off 20 balls with 2 sixes and 3 fours. Chetan Suryawanshi remained unbeaten on 42 while Akhil Balchandra scored 23 runs.
